A Week’s Diet

I’m required to log my dietary intake for the rest of the semester and just finished my first week’s worth which I’m posting. While I’m glad that it is better than it has ever been in college (most meals are homemade), I definitely recognize the huge room for improvement. My love for processed foods is so hard to contain. I’m going to try really hard to limit the super-processed fake meats (yuck anyway), bagged junk food, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I’m also constantly hungry/thinking about food so I eat really often (each new line is a different time of day). Here’s to getting buff. :) I can’t believe this all started for shits and giggles.

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, almond milk, almonds, dried cranberries)

Morningstar Farms Chik patty

1/2 grilled mozzarella cheese sandwich

1/2 beef burger (lettuce, tomato, grilled onions)

Handful nachos with mozzarella cheese, avocado, tomato, 2 Boca Chik’n Nuggets (never again)

Stir fry (spinach, carrots)

Spinach salad, Cajun tempeh with creamy dipping sauce

Hot Cheetos

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, soy milk, frozen strawberries, almonds)

1 cup basil tomato cream soup, 1 celery stalk, 1 barbecue rib

Handful almonds, raisins, 2 tangerines

1 scoop whey protein powder

1 quinoa yogurt ball, spinach salad, mahi mahi, 1 bite cookie, 1 tangerine

Handful Hot Cheetos

Muesli (1/3 cup rolled oats, soy milk, frozen strawberries, almonds)

Stir fry (carrot, mushroom, broccoli, onion, red bell pepper, spinach), quinoa ball, hardboiled egg

2 handfuls Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Raisins, almonds

1 scoop whey protein powder

Meatloaf (beef, bacon), egg salad, salad (celery, raisins, apple, yogurt dressing)

Carrot and chips with hummus

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, soy milk, frozen strawberries, almonds)

Stir fry (spinach, mushroom, onion), Chik patty, hardboiled egg, almonds, raisins

Roasted turkey, creamed cauliflower and peas, quiche (egg, tomato, mushroom, spinach, phyllo), 1/2 red velvet cupcake, 2 slivers dried papaya

Handful Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 1/4 grapefruit

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, soy milk, dried papaya, frozen strawberries, almonds)

Stir fry (asparagus, zucchini, spinach, onion, red bell pepper, carrot, celery), hardboiled egg

Almonds, raisins

1 scoop protein powder

Chicken breast, salad (mixed greens, tomato), baked eggplant

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, soy milk, frozen strawberries, almonds)

1/2 Thai Basil chili garlic plate (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, imitation crab, white rice, very salty sauce)

Almonds, dried cranberries

1 scoop whey protein powder

Mexican rice, carne asada, guacamole, salsa, lettuce, mozzarella cheese

Strawberry margaritas, tequila shots

Trader Joe’s salt and pepper kettle chips

Muesli (1/2 cup rolled oats, soy milk, frozen blueberries)

Stir fry (spinach, asparagus, zucchini, broccoli, onion, pesto sauce), 1/2 chicken breast, hardboiled egg

1 scoop protein powder

Almonds, dried cranberries

Yogurtland (plain tart with strawberry, pineapple, mango, mochi as toppings)

Popcorn (olive oil, nutritional yeast, Sriracha sauce)

1/2 Thai Basil chili garlic plate, spinach stir fry
