Yoga is by far the hardest form of physical activity that I have ever had to do. I have never sweat so much from moving so little; and yes, I find it harder than plyometrics and Insanity. Props to those who can because I think I’m done with Vinyasa after this round. P90X yoga? I did it yesterday for the second time and my shoulders are killing me today.
Tahoe in five days!
Girl Scouts knocked at the door. They definitely got a lot of business. Dear lord what have I done?
On the other hand, are we all getting more athletic? I got five other people to do Insanity with me this evening, which was hilarious as we jumped around the living room. Earlier, the boys went weightlifting together, which was the cutest thing ever. Then there was post-dinner soccer practice for...
Something pretty traumatizing happened to me recently. While I’ve told several people about it, at the same time I feel like I’ve told no one about it. And I certainly can’t blog about it. I’m pretty uncomfortable with my situation right now.
Uh, that was vague. I need to stop feeling down and forget about it. Or be mature. Or just forget about it and focus my energies on...

A Week's Diet
I’m required to log my dietary intake for the rest of the semester and just finished my first week’s worth which I’m posting. While I’m glad that it is better than it has ever been in college (most meals are homemade), I definitely recognize the huge room for improvement. My love for processed foods is so hard to contain. I’m going to try really hard to limit the...
So if I haven’t mentioned this before, I’ve become very interested in the way our bodies react to the shit we do to ourselves. If I could go back and pick up nutri-sci as a second major, I would. But for now, I’ve been training and eating to get healthier. It’s working because I feel a lot better. I’m even reluctant to drink nowadays. Though I do.
Yesterday during...
Dinner took way too long.
Roasted turkey with garlic, rosemary, oregano, basil
Quiche with spinach, mushroom, tomato
Creamed cauliflower and peas
Mashed potatoes
Kale salad
Red velvet cupcakes for the birthday boy
And that was my first turkey roasting experience. It’s easier than I thought, but I have yet to make stuffing.
Full moon, so most of us went to the roof for some howling. I...
I might have successfully navigated my last ever room to room party last night (no puke, no kisses), although I did get in an argument with my barely love interest. I don’t know, whatever. I’ve never been good at room to rooms, and I’m tired of being twisted around by him. Onward!
I’m supposed to be eating clean, but the other day I decided that it just had to be Paula Deen day. So I fried chicken fingers and eggplant fritters and chicken wings for forty people and it was awesome. My new partner, who definitely loves meat and fried things less than I do, made mushroom quinoa, black beans with bell peppers, and teriyaki salad while I was busy double breading every...
